Fantasy Of Lights

Festival HorseshoeMonday, December 1st at 6pm, one of the largest lighted displays in South Carolina will illuminate the world famous Swan Lake Iris Gardens! The Opening Ceremony is celebrating the 21st annual Fantasy of Lights and the 29th Anniversary of the Floating Christmas Tree! The world famous 150 acre Swan Lake-Iris Gardens will illuminate with more than a million lights and 150 lighted figures!

The Sumter Pilot Club started the floating Christmas tree as a fundraiser for various organizations in need more than twenty-eight years ago. The opening ceremony is a tradition, along with the Fantasy of Lights. The Fantasy of Lights is approaching its twenty first year of celebration!

Saturday, December 6th marks the beginning of the Fantasy of Lights entertainment, part of Sumter's annual Poinsettia Festival!  See Santa, holiday entertainment, enjoy refreshments and more! And kids, remember to bring your letters for Santa! The Santa Express will be there to send them straight to the North Pole!

This lighted display is the work of the City Parks and Gardens staff. The employees of the City of Sumter are behind the creativity and magnificent display now known as South Carolinas largest free display. A MUST SEE!
